PRIMA Launches Online Survey to Gather Stakeholder Input for New Research and Innovation Priorities

26 September 2024 — The PRIMA Programme, an EU partnership under Horizon Europe, has launched an online survey to gather input from stakeholders across the Mediterranean to help define new Research and Innovation (R&I) priorities for a potential Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) under the renewed PRIMA Partnership. This input will shape PRIMA’s future R&I agenda and contribute to the region’s sustainable development efforts.

Stakeholders from academia, NGOs, the private sector, and civil society are encouraged to participate in the online survey, which is available from September to November 2024. The survey aims to capture diverse insights on key issues such as water management, sustainable farming, and the agri-food value chain, as well as potential new focus areas, including climate change, renewable energy, health, and marine ecosystems.

“This survey is a vital opportunity for stakeholders to have their say in shaping the future of PRIMA’s research and innovation priorities,” said Antonella Autino, FUTURE4PRIMA Project Coordinator. “We welcome contributions from all sectors to ensure the renewed agenda reflects the needs and challenges of the Mediterranean region.”

In addition to the online survey, national workshops may be organized in specific countries to complement the survey. These workshops will be disseminated by the respective countries and provide an additional platform for stakeholders to discuss and refine priorities at a national level.

Key Dates:

– Survey Launch: 26 September 2024

– Survey Deadline: 11 November 2024

– National Workshops: Disseminated by specific countries where they will be organized

The feedback gathered through the online survey and possible national workshops will directly inform PRIMA’s renewed Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. By participating in the survey, stakeholders will play a crucial role in ensuring that PRIMA continues to address the region’s most pressing challenges while fostering sustainability and resilience.
