WP 1
Coordination and Management
WP1 Aims: Ensure efficient and timely project management through:
- Coordinating and implementing QA measures to mitigate risks.
- Regularly updating the project work plan for optimal supervision and activity execution.
- Facilitating precise and timely communication among project partners, EC services, and stakeholders to monitor progress.
- Establishing and strengthening management structures for sustained success.
WP 2
Strategic Planning
Objectives: Enhance alignment of R&I programmes with PRIMA's sustainability goals, supporting future EU partnership strategies.
- Foster alignment with shared priorities on sustainable water management, agri-food systems, and health, aligned with EU and UfM strategies.
- Define strategic directions for a renewed PRIMA partnership within the 2028-2035 EU funding framework.
WP 3
Supporting the Alignment of Processes
Objectives: Develop a framework to enhance interoperability in transnational R&I programme implementation.
- To develop a common framework for increasing the interoperability of rules and procedures for implementing transnational R&I programmes.
WP 4
Enhancing the Mediterranean Innovation Ecosystem
Objectives: Enhance the Euro-Med innovation ecosystem and pilot innovative approaches to unlock the full innovation potential of EURO-MED projects.
- To strengthen the Euro-Med innovation ecosystem by shaping forward-looking research and innovation policy that includes widening countries and the Southern Mediterranean neighborhood.
- To pilot novel approaches to maximise the innovation potential of EURO-MED projects through improved research-based transfer steps and the startup process in the Euro-Mediterranean Region.
WP 5
Widening Actions to Extend the PRIMA Partnership
Objectives: Aim at promoting inclusion and coordination in R&I to strengthen systems across Europe and its close neighborhoods, adhering to Horizon Europe's principles.
- To promote the inclusion of less performant R&I countries in the PRIMA partnership, enabling upgrades to their R&I systems for a unified advancement, thus widening the ERA in compliance with the Openness and Transparency principle of Horizon Europe.
- Pool financial resources while increasing R&I coordination at both national and international levels, to avoid resource fragmentation.
WP 6
2030 SDGs and EU Green Deal
FOSTERING PROGRESS ON UN AGENDA 2030 SDGS AND EU GREEN DEAL
Objectives: Focus on assessing and prioritizing R&I efforts towards SDGs and EGD in the Mediterranean, with tools for impact evaluation.
- Assess progress on SDGs and EGD, prioritize urgent R&I investments, and develop action plans for the Mediterranean region.
- Provide decision-makers with tools for evaluating R&I impact on SDGs and EGD, incorporating good practices from the Mediterranean.
WP 7
Dissemination, Communication,
and Exploitation
Objectives: Enhance communication, outreach, and engagement efforts to broaden project impact and societal integration.
- Develop and deliver effective Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation activities.
- Maximise project results outreach, transparency, and leverage.
- Mobilise new countries and relevant stakeholders.
- Upscale project activities to society at the widest level.
